Kirkland given Reds chance

The 22-year-old former Coventry City shot-stopper has not made a senior start for the Reds since suffering a knee injury in an FA Cup tie with Crystal Palace in January, but Gerard Houllier has confirmed that the England under-21 star will be between the posts at Ewood Park.
