Kirkland hoping for permanent move

The England goalkeeper is currently on loan at West Brom from Liverpool to try and prove his fitness but Kirkland has admitted that he would now like to sign for the Baggies on a permanent basis.

"As far as I'm concerned, I'm a West Brom player now," he told West Brom's official website.

"It might be out of my hands because I don't know what Liverpool are thinking and I'll have to wait and see what they want at the end of the season.

"But if the opportunity (to stay permanently) came up then I would have no hesitation.

"If I have to go back to Liverpool, I'll have to concentrate on them again but until that comes, I'm not a Liverpool player anymore.

"I am a West Brom player and I want to do everything to make sure we have a good season."
