Kirkland in Sven's plans

Kirkland would have been part of Eriksson's squad for Euro 2004 if not for injury and his absence was a blow for England. However, Kirkland should be a regular in the World cup qualifier squads if fit.

"I hope Chris Kirkland will come and be fit at the beginning of the season. I'll have a look at him for sure," said Eriksson when asked about what new players we are likely to see in the England squad next season.
