The Reds goalkeeper, the victim of a late lunge from Sheffield United midfielder Michael Brown, feels Liverpool have a score to settle with the first division promotion hopefuls.

He said: "We have a bit of payback to do after what happened in the first leg. We're not calling it revenge or anything like that, but we're hoping for a three or four nil win to put things right from the game at their place.

He added: "We know it will be a tough game. Sheffield United haven't lost for about 15 games and we all watched them on Friday when they came back from a goal down to win.

"It should be a cracking match. It will be one of the biggest games I've been involved in and we can't wait.

"It's been a tough time for us recently but we've got to carry on the good work shown against Southampton now.

"All the lads will be hoping to continue this form. We're not out of our bad run yet but we've got to consider the win against Southampton a start. We need to take it on."
