Kirkland keen to impress the 'gaffer'

The England keeper has regained his place between the posts since his return from injury, and is hoping to prove himself to the new manager.

"I want to make sure the gaffer doesn't think he needs a new keeper," he said.

"I've got to perform now. When a new gaffer comes in you've got to prove yourself again."
