Kirkland willing to wait

Liverpool and England Under 21 keeper Chris Kirkland insists that he will bide his time at Anfield rather than move on to another club.

Jerzy Dudek's deputy has had few chances in the first team since his arrival from Coventry City last year.

"I look forward to playing and when I come away with England I’ve always had that chance," he said.

"At Liverpool I’m on the bench and I’ve accepted that but it’s good to get away and play some games.

"It’s an honour to train with Jerzy and all the Liverpool players. I knew the score when I joined Liverpool and I am happy."
