Klopp discusses situation after Spurs win

After last week's victory over Tottenham Hotspur the Liverpool boss took his squad to La Manga for a short mid-season training camp, eager to make the most of the two-week fixture break and hoping the January dip in form is now turned around.

“Our life is completely dependent on results, that’s the truth," he told the official site.

"Sometimes when you’ve lost a game, the next day it’s 100 per cent raining! When you’ve won a game, the sun’s always shining but of course it’s not always like this, it only feels like this.

“Yes, Tottenham was a very important game, a very, very important game in the situation, in the club I would say, but especially in the situation in the table.

“We are still in this group, we are not at the end of the group, we are in the middle of the group. We have not the biggest distance to the interesting places, so that’s all good.

“Each win can change the mood but if you lose, you have to use it, to get more greedy and if you win, you have to stay greedy. That’s the life of a professional footballer.”
