The extent of the injury will not be known until he is treated at Melwood on Tuesday, but the signs are not promising.
"Patrik had to come off in the first half because of the injury," confirmed reserve team coach, Hugh McAuley.
"He has twisted his knee and we will have a better idea of how long he will be out for when our medical team look at it on Tuesday."
