Kuyt calls for more ruthlessness

The Reds should have had the match sown up on Saturday but missed too many chances while bossing the game, and this allowed Spurs to turn it around. Kuyt says that's something they need to put right, starting tonight.

"There's still a long way to go, but I think we have done really well so far," said the Dutchman.

"Of course everyone is talking about the pressure if you lose a game, but in football you will always lose some games. You just have to think about winning the next game, I think that's the most important thing for us.

"Tomorrow is a very important game for us because we want to reach the next stage of the Champions League and finish first in the group.

"I think we played a really good first half in the match over there and it was a pity that we gave a goal away in the last 10 minutes of the game.

"We need to learn from that, we've got a good team and we don't want to be conceding goals late in games."
