Kuyt confident of Euro place

The Liverpool striker was named in Marco Van Basten's provisional 26 man squad but the Dutch boss will axe three players on Monday as teams are only allowed to name 23 players for the tournament. Kuyt is confident of avoiding the axe.

"If I show the same here as I did in the recent months at Liverpool, I don't have to worry," he said.

"I think I will be a part of the squad. I am convinced that I can be important to my country. Few players can be compared to me style-wise."
