Kuyt keen to face Blues

Kuyt impressed on his Liverpool debut against West Ham and the Dutch striker is hoping to continue his impressive form when the Reds visit Goodison next week.

"These are the games I love to play in. They just seem to bring the best out of me. I feed off the energy in the stands. At home when the fans are behind us I use their positive energy and I seem to find another few per cent. And I love going into the lion's den away from home when your every touch is booed by the rival supporters. It doesn't put me off, it actually inspires me," said Kuyt.

"Ajax might be happy to see the back of me because I have scored six goals in my last six games against them, or something like that. I've done well against PSV Eindhoven as well over the years with Feyenoord so I hope I can carry that into our games with Everton.

"I'd like a goal against Everton to help me bond with the fans. I have seen Liverpool games against Everton on the television in Holland and they look amazing. Everyone in the stands is singing and the game is played very, very fast.

"It is a game I am looking forward to and I am sure it will be even better in the flesh than it is on TV."
