"I am not worried about my place," said the striker, who last season became the first player to score more than ten league goals under Rafael Benitez.
"It is important to get players to make the team better and the competition in Liverpool is now stronger than ever.
"I think it was a good thing to bring in a few new players. We certainly have to play much better than last year."
