Kuyt has been left out of the squad for tonight's Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven as he recovers from a slight hamstring injury picked up against Blackburn.
Rafael Benitez is expected to rotate his squad slightly for tonight's game which could mean a first start for Stephen Darby. Jay Spearing and Martin Kelly are also in the squad tonight.
