Kuyt warns Chelsea

Kuyt says Liverpool are a better team now than when they played Chelsea at Stamford Bridge back in October and that they will be determined to prove they can beat the top sides in the Premiership.

"I thought we played well all over the pitch [against Watford], and now we can look forward to see what happens against Chelsea next week," said the striker.

"If we want to have chance of second place, we know we have to beat them. I'm sure it will be a great game with a great atmosphere, and we can't wait.

"People talk about our record against the top sides, but not so long ago we were hearing we couldn't win away from home. We've managed to change that record, so we now we are ready for Chelsea.

"We've shown we are in really good form in the Premiership, with only the defeat to Blackburn which we didn't deserve. I feel we're getting better and we could be meeting Chelsea at a good moment for us. We are playing better than we were when we last met."
