Kyrgiakos praised

The Greek defender was handed his debut against Bolton yesterday and had a difficult time against Kevin Davies and his elbows. However, Rafa Benitez believes his latest aquisistion handled himself well.

"It was a difficult game for Kyrgiakos, but I am really pleased because he was very dominant in the air against Kevin Davies, which is not easy, and also Johan Elmander," said the boss.

"I think for his first game in England he was really good."
