Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson believes Gerard Houllier's side have a good chance of winning the Premiership title this season.
The BBC football pundit believes the Reds have a strong squad but at the same time, he feels that a couple more signings would really improve our chances of finally claiming the trophy that counts.
"For the title, the usual suspects of Liverpool, United and Arsenal again look to be dominating the picture," said Lawro. "But if Houllier can make a couple of late additions then it could tilt the balance.
"If Lee Bowyer and Damien Duff found their way to Anfield it would be difficult to look past Houllier's men to finally lift the crown."
