Lawro: United are the best attacking side in the country

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson believes Manchester United are the best attacking side in the country.

Writing for his column in today's Mirror, the BBC football pundit said: "United are the best attacking force in the country. Arsenal will push them all of the way again this season but it is always much harder to retain the title than to win it.

"Arsenal look an awesome attacking force, with Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp up front, and Freddie Ljungberg and Robert Pires to come back.

"But United are every inch as strong in attack. When they are in full flow, they still look a harder team to contain than Arsenal. If anybody believes Fergie's men are on the wane, he needs his head testing."
