Le Boss: We can score

The Anfield men will have to score at least one goal tomorrow if they are to progress after conceding an away goal in the first leg.

While it would have been better if Marseille had not scored, Houlier is confident his team can cancel out Marseille's away goal and progress to the quarter finals.

He said: "We are out of the competition at this stage so we know what we need to do to go through. We have played more games than Marseille since the first leg but we will be prepared.

"They made things very difficult at Anfield and it was hard to break them down. Having said that, Fabien Barthez kept them in the game with his saves at the end.

"We have the experience, the talent and the personality to win through. But we don't need to go chasing a couple of goals early on in the game. I am confident we can score."
