Lee looking for improvement

Liverpool are currently top of the Premiership and gave one of their best performances of the season against Bolton on Boxing Day but Lee is expecting the Reds to improve even further.

"We're always looking to improve at this football club. It was good against Bolton, there's no doubt about that, but the nature of this football club is that we always work hard for every game and we're never totally happy," said the assistant manager.

"The patience of our play was what impressed me most. The crowd was patient too and we've asked for that. They know what we're trying to do. We've passed the ball and used the full length of the pitch, and it was important to get the first goal.

"There was patience but also quality in our play. But the challenge now is to stay top and hopefully finish there."
