Lee is happy to see Gerrard back from injury as he believes the Reds' captain can help inspire the other players to get Liverpool that final Champions League qualification spot.
"It's always great to have him on the training park, and everyone knows his influence on the team. It's nice to have his quality in and around the place," said the assistant manager.
"Him being fit could be massive for us. Everyone knows that. We're working hard to make sure Stevie's fit, match fit and ready for us. He's working hard too - he always does.
"It's massive to have players of his ilk, of his quality, around the place."
