Leeds confirm Berger interest

The 29-year-old former Czech international will end his illustrious Anfield career when his contract expires at the end of the month. While Berger will no longer be a resident of Merseyside, it seems likely that he will remain in England with Peter Reid.

Reid said: "I'm looking at players at the moment and Berger is one of those players. I think he's a good footballer, who was obviously injured and didn't play in too many games for Liverpool towards the end."
