Leeds unhappy with undermining tactics to lure Bowyer

Leeds United are reportedly unhappy about another Premiership club for using "undermining tactics" to lure Lee Bowyer away from Elland Road.

The midfield ace has been transfer listed and Liverpool have been heavily linked with the controversial character; so too have Arsenal.

Leeds claim that they have had no "formal" approaches for Bowyer yet they feel that someone has been sniffing around him which then forced him to reject his new contract offer from O'Leary.

"Leeds behaved impeccable during the signing of Robbie Fowler from Liverpool and expect the same professionalism in return," says an unnamed source in today's Sunday People.

There is nothing to suggest that Liverpool have acted improperly in anyway and with claims like this doing the rounds so soon after the Ziege affair, the Reds may cool their interest for a few weeks, unless of course Arsenal make a move.

Despite his bad-boy reputation and so called image, we feel that Lee Bowyer would be an excellent signing for the club.
