Numerous players have this week spoken of how the team needs to improve, needs to ease the goalscoring burden on Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard and how they need to get back to winning ways in the league. Xabi Alonso says actions speak louder than words and the Reds need to walk the walk as well as talk the talk.
"I prefer to give the fans a message on the pitch. You have to do a lot of talking and interviews, but you have to deliver on the pitch," the midfielder told the club's official website.
"You can say a lot of things, say you are going to do well and deliver, but if you don't do it on the pitch it is meaningless."
