Lets keep improving says Rafa

Despite a couple of poor performances recently Liverpool are a better team this season and are on course to pick up at least ten more points than they got last season.

Rafa Benitez has urged his players to continue their good work and get back on the winning trail, starting tonight when they host Fulham at Anfield.

"We have overall had a very good season. It is a fine line now between being good or bad. We must now keep going and finish third or second," he said.

"Last season we were desperate to finish fourth, and this season there was a time when people were talking about us being the main contenders to Chelsea.

"We lost the game against them, so now we start concentrating on finishing second, but the situation is much better than last season.

"We need to show people after 50 games that we are a good team - like when we were winning 10 games in a row.

"We know that we are a good team and we need to do the same things we have done before.

"The players understand. We have nine more games, and we were playing really well for the most part of the season.

"The situation can change if you win or lose one or two games. A good season for most of the teams is to finish in the middle of the table, it's fantastic for some of them to finish in the top six, but for us everybody expects that you must finish in the top four."
