Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup final tomorrow and striker Craig Lindfield admits he can't wait for the kick off.

"We're all excited at the thought of this game and we know we've got a great chance to set the record straight against Manchester City," says the under 18's' top scorer.

"They've beaten us twice this season but we feel we've proved already we're at least as good a side as them but we honestly believe we are better, and we want to prove that.

"It's the biggest game any of us have ever played in and we can't wait to get started. Training's been fierce because we all want to play and we'll be ready to win this trophy when the referee's whistle sounds.

"In an ideal world it would be great to get a good win under our belts in the first-leg before we got to City. Any win would do but a clean sheet and a couple of goals cushion would be great."
