Jari Litmanen pulled out of tonight's reserve game (click here for the report) to enable him to hold transfer talks with Ajax.
The Dutch club's technical director Leo Beenhakker confirmed that they have made another attempt to sign him.
"He will sign for one year and after that it is our intention and his intention to add another year and a half to it," said Beenhakker.
