Liverpool accepted a loan approach from an un-named club for Vegard Heggem only for the defender to turn the opportunity down.

The club, rumoured to be Manchester City, were hoping to sign the player until the end of the season.

The Norwegian international is hoping that he can regain his place in the side but that's proving rather difficult at the moment.
