Liverpool accept Guthrie bid

The 21-year-old is now discussing terms on a move to St James Park.

"We have agreed a transfer fee with Newcastle United for the transfer of Danny Guthrie," said press officer Ian Cotton.

"We have now given Newcastle permission to speak directly with the player."
