Liverpool and Feyenoord have still not agreed a transfer fee for Brett Emerton despite months of negotiations and mind games.

Although talks are on-going, Emerton's camp remain confident that the player will be playing in the Premiership very soon with Leeds or Liverpool the likely destination.

Emerton was never Houllier's first option, he was there to fall back on and some sections of Liverpool fans are scratching their heads as to why Houllier doesn't splash the cash on a talent like Blackburn's Duff before soneone like Fergie snaps him up.
