Liverpool and Leeds chiefs meet to discuss Bowyer

It has been reported that executives from Liverpool and Leeds United met yesterday to discuss the potential transfer of Lee Bowyer to Anfield.

Gerard Houllier has allegedly tabled a £7million bid for Bowyer who must complete a move to Liverpool before the Champions League deadline, or the bid would be withdrawn.

Kop Talk has maintained for months that Bowyer is a target but only at the right price. Leeds initially wanted £15million but they are already seriously considering lowering the asking price for fear of losing him on a free.

We hope that a deal can be agreed despite his controversial past.
