One report by The Mail today claims that Liverpool chiefs are unhappy with Michael Owen's off the field activities.

Matt Lawton writes: "According to sources within Anfield, there is a growing concern that Owen's performances have been affected in recent weeks by his off-the-field activities."
While other players wine and dine or spend time at home with their family, Liverpool's hottest property has been capitalising on his commercial attractions by endorsing certain products - something that he has done without any problems for years.
To suggest that the club are unhappy with Owen, the most professional player at the club, is nothing other than absolute nonsense and Kop Talk sources this morning strongly rubbished the claims.
Our source told us: "The club are furious about this report. Although they have laughed it off at the first instance, they will be speaking to Michael to assure him that there isn't a problem. Michael has a brilliant relationship with the club and their is mutual respect between the player and the club all of the time."
