Liverpool confirm Adidas switch

After the German manufacturer's purchase of Reebok last year it was clear that eventually Liverpool would return to the 'three stripe' brand.

The move will be popular with many fans, who have severeley criticised recent Reebok kit designs.

"We had a very successful partnership with Adidas in the 1980's and are delighted to be teaming up with them again," said chief executive Rick Parry.

"Adidas has a fantastic football heritage and we know that we will work well together. We are looking forward to producing a range of products that the fans will be proud to wear."
