Reds spokesman Ian Cotton has been quick to address the claims:
"We know rumours are flying around saying Gerard is going to quit, but this is the limit," he said. "Gerard has a contract until 2005 and we have no reason to believe he won't see that through "
"People are asking all the time about his health, but I can tell you categorically he's fit and fine.
