Liverpool dismiss Hamann rumours

Liverpool have moved quickly to quash suggestions that Juventus are lining up a swoop for Dietmar Hamann.

The German international enjoyed an impressive World Cup, and was always likely to bring interest from Europe's top clubs.

Reports in Italy claim the Serie A giants are also looking to bring Miroslav Klose to the club in a double deal.

Hamann had allegedly been looking at other clubs after falling out with Gerard Houllier towards the end of last season.

It is thought Hamann was unhappy at being substituted during Liverpool's Champions League quarter-final with Bayer Leverkusen.
