According to reports, Liverpool have been fined £20,000 by the Premier League after being found guilty of making an illegal approach for Christian Ziege when he was at Middlesbrough.

Boro are apparently furious with the decision especially after the Reds were found not guilty of 'inducing an employee to terminate his contract.' Boro were seeking damages of £2.5million, the amount they claimed they lost out on because of the tranfer.

Ziege was also found guilty for his involvement and he too was fined £20,000.

Liverpool could have had Premiership points deducted.
