Liverpool are on a collision course with the Football Association over a row regarding player's wages.

The Reds believe that the FA should pay the wages of any club player that is on duty for the national side.

The G14 group, of which Liverpool is a member, have backed the proposals. They want various associations to pay 50% of a players wages when they are on international duty. The FA insist they will fight the G14's plans.
