Liverpool 'keeper happy to be on the bench

Speaking on his website, Pegguy says: "I have enjoyed being back on the Liverpool bench for the last three games, as a result of Chris Kirkland's injury. Chris was really unfortunate when he hurt his ankle when he was warming up before our match against Southampton, and so I was given an unexpected call-up soon after I had arrived at Anfield to be a spectator!

"Being a substitute keeper can't compare to actually playing, of course, but it is still much better than sitting in the stands. That's because when you are in the squad you naturally feel involved and you become more emotional when it comes to the games."
