Liverpool linked with £8million swoop

Today's Daily Mirror exclusively reveals that the Reds are preparing an £8million bid for West Ham winger Trevor Sinclair.

Dave Maddock writes that the Reds have identified Brett Emerton as a target but that his club Feyenoord don't want to sell until the summer paving the way for Sinclair to complete a dream move to Anfield.

West Ham recently accepted a written transfer request from Sinclair but their £10million asking price has put clubs off. Liverpool however are prepared to pay up to around £8million.

Kop Talk understands that even if Sinclair is recruited, interest in Emerton will not be cooled.
