Liverpool linked with former Bolton loanee

Mendy, a pacy full-back, enjoyed a season long loan at Bolton two seasons ago who were keen to sign him but could not agree a deal with Paris Saint Germain.

Mendy, who has just a year to run on his contract, claimed that Liverpool sounded him out about a move back in April.

The 22 year old wants to break into the French national side and could see the Liverpool move as a way of improving his profile.
