Liverpool pull out of Senior Cup

Liverpool were supposed to play Everton in the semi-final of this year's competition but the youth team's progress to the FA Youth Cup final combined with a fixture backlog for the reserves means the Reds have had to withdraw.

"Liverpool County FA have been most supportive in respect of our predicament and Liverpool Football Club look forward to participating in next season's competition," said a club spokesperson.
