Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is showing an interest in controversial World Cup star Khalilou Fadiga.

The 27-year-old Auxerre midfielder was without a doubt Senegal's best player during the World Cup finals this summer and he was subsequently voted Senegal's best player during the summer tournament by fans back home.
