Liverpool still chasing Emerton and Bowyer

Liverpool are still chasing Feyenoord's Brett Emerton, insist Kop Talk sources.
Kop Talk understands that Emerton is still high on the manager's wanted list along with Lee Bowyer who is patiently letting his contract run down. Although Leeds want him to re-sign, Liverpool are rumoured to have made noises known in the right direction that they are prepared to snap him up some time between now and when his contract expires. The longer the uncertainty drags on, the cheaper the player will become. However Arsenal may prove a preferred destination for the London boy.
As for Emerton, we understand that the Reds are continuing to negotiate the transfer fee.
There is still a suggestion that another unidentified player may be brought in once the axe starts to fall at Anfield regardless of the outcome of the above proposed transfer business.
