Liverpool striker offered in transfer negotiations

Liverpool are already considering dumping Milan Baros despite only making one first team appearance.

Although the club are not desperate to move him on, Gerard Houllier was prepared to send him packing to Lens as part of a player plus cash deal for El Hadji Diouf.

Lens rejected the opportunity to sign him because they don't rate him highly enough.

"We were not very keen," admitted Lens Director of Football, Patrice Bergues.

Liverpool are likely to deny such reports as Baros will no doubt be unhappy when he gets to learn about them.

Baros was dubbed as the Czech version of Michael Owen prior to his Anfield switch but since arriving, he has been labelled a sulker by some of his team-mates who can't see why there is so much fuss about him.

The Czech publicly blasted the management for his lack of first team opportunities last season and that didn't go down too well with the management.
