Liverpool try again for Kuyt

Kuyt is Benitez' number one choice to replace the departing Milan Baros but Benitez has been put off by Feyeroord's £10m valuation of their striker. However, Kuyt has voiced his desire to sign for Liverpool and if he insists on leaving, the Dutch club may well accept a bid of £8m.

Liverpool expressed an interest in Peter Crouch but that has cooled as the club will not meet Southampton's £7m valuation.
