Liverpool v Bolton - Match Preview

Last updated : 07 April 2006 By Adam Bryant

Liverpool will be looking for a fifth successive Premiership victory when they take on Bolton on Sunday, while the Trotters will be hoping to avoid a fourth consecutive loss in the competition.

Rafael Benitez' side go into the weekend in third place, five points behind Manchester United and 12 ahead of fourth-placed Spurs.

They're unbeaten in 14 League outings at Anfield, and have only conceded more than a single goal in one home Premiership match this season (the 1-4 defeat by Chelsea on 2 October).

With five matches to play, the Reds already have more points than they've totalled in five of the last 10 seasons when the top League has been contested over 38 games.

Liverpool are unbeaten at home to Bolton in the Premiership (five wins, and one draw) and have not lost a home League fixture to the Trotters in 52 years. They've won their last three at Anfield against Wanderers.
