Liverpool youngster makes his debut

Medjani was loaned out back in August by Rafael Benitez with the intention of getting him regular first team football. However, this weekend was his first start of the season, and at the unfamiliar position of right-back.

None the less Medjani impressed Lorient manager Christian Gourcuff who said: "This match was the confirmation that Carl is solid and that he makes us stronger at the back."
