Lyon give up on Baros hunt

The Czech striker had been linked with a summer move to the French club, but has since spoken out about his desire to remain at Anfield.

"He wants to remain in Liverpool," confirmed Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas. "It is what he told us yesterday evening via his agent.

"It is necessary to want to play for Olympique Lyonnais before coming to sign. He will perhaps be one for next season or another one."
