"Normally things like contract negotiations don't get done until the final year, usually the last minute in this place," he said.
"I'll wait and see what happens and get this year out of the way and think about things in the summer. If something came up in the Premiership which represented a good challenge for me I would never say never.
"As a footballer you always want to play. If things come to a head I'll have a think about it in the summer. When you are playing bit parts it is frustrating because you want to try to be as successful as possible."
