Cisse not ready yet
Djibril Cisse, the prolific Auxerre striker, says he would like to play for Gerard Houllier - but not just yet.

The Reds have been chasing Cisse for some time now but the transfer fee was starting to prove a concern with his club saying that they wouldn't sell for much less than £20million.

Houllier then turned his attention to Anelka, who is available for much less, to see if he could prove himself worthly of investment.

"If I had a choice, I think I would go to England. I believe the English league suits my style best and I admit I have got a slight preference for Liverpool," said Cisse.

However the striker, who is been chased by all of Europe's top clubs, adds: "I am not leaving this season. I think I'll be ready to leave Auxerre in two years time."
