Malaga target identified

The 24 year old has been followed by Benitez since last year, but with Juanito's contract ending in Summer, a free transfer could entice Benitez to act.

The player agent confirmed that he was aware of interest from various clubs, and confirmed that no deal seemed imminent at Malaga.

He said: "At this moment I believe the destiny of the player is closer to another club. We have propositions from Spain and Europe."

"Malaga have not said never to a possible new deal, but time is passing," he concluded.
